Group Lessons

Group swim lessons for swimmers 3-6 years old are available from our courteous lifeguard/coaching staff. Small group swim lessons are geared towards learn-to-swim and safe-water play for children ages 3-6 years old. Children should be able to leave the parent/guardian during instruction. No swim experience is necessary. *Parent/guardian is expected to remain at the pool for the duration of the lesson or as long as the swimmer is in the water. 

Sessions are 2 weeks long each with lessons scheduled from Monday through Thursday. Both Fridays of each session are reserved for makeup dates due to inclement weather. Swim instructors are coaches and experienced swimmers from the KRSC Water Wizards Swim Team.

Each two week session consist of 8 lessons at 30 minutes each, Monday through Thursday from 10:30 am to 11:00am. Friday is a make-up day in case of rain and July 4 holiday.

There will be 3 sessions of Group Swim Lessons for the 2024 season

• June 17 - June 28
• July 1 - July 11 - No session on July 4
• July 15 - July 25

Pricing:

$50 per swimmer per session for KRSC members
$90 per swimmer per session for non-members (This covers the daily non-member guest pass for the duration of the lesson for each registered participant/swimmer. Non-members may only remain at the pool and swim for the duration of the lesson, and only registered participants are permitted to be in the pool or baby pool).

Please note groups of swimmers in each session are kept small so that participants can receive some individual attention from the instructors. Children are grouped by skill level, not necessarily by age. Grouping levels may range from water adjustment to beginning stroke development. Groupings are dynamic and children may be moved from one group to another to facilitate appropriate instruction.

Children not ready to leave their parent, or not ready for small group instruction may contact the staff or fill out interest form below for private lessons. 

If you have an older swimmer, private lesson are available or they may also want to check out the swim team!

Private Lessons

If you cannot attend group lessons, have a child not ready to leave their parent or a shy swimmer, we have junior coaches and lifeguards that would love to teach your child how to swim.  Please fill out this interest form and you will be contacted by our Lessons Coordinator, Coach Stephanie. 

Payment for any private lesson is to be provided to the coach before the swimmer and coach enter the water to begin the lesson. No lesson will be provided without payment. Lesson pricing will range from $20-$50 per 30 minute session based on the level of experience for each coach, and each coach's rate is non-negotiable. Note: Non-members are responsible for payment of an additional $5 per session to cover a KRSC Guest Pass, and only the swimmer will be allowed to enter the water. Once the lesson ends, the non-member swimmer must exit the water and the pool deck.
